KDY Expands Facilities in Kuat System.

Kuat Drive Yards, one of the galaxy’s leading manufacturers of spacecraft and starships, has recently announced that they are expanding their shipyard production. The shipyard expansion will allow them to produce even more ships with faster turnaround times and increased quality. This expansion is expected to help Kuat Shipyards maintain their leading position in shipbuilding as a major republic shipyard for years to come. This announcement comes as increase demands for starships by PDF forces have been made galaxy wide.

New Flagship
KSF Pride of the Core

 

The Kuati Fleet is set to receive a new flagship in the form of a Mandator I-class Star Dreadnought. This behemoth of a vessel will be the latest addition to the powerful Kuati military and will be a formidable asset for the Kuati Security Forces. With a massive length of nearly 8,000 meters and a crew of 125,000 personnel, this is sure to be an impressive sight to behold patrolling the Kuati Sector. This new flagship is sure to be a symbol of Kuati strength and  naval excellence for years to come.  

Critics have raised concerns about the cost of the new Kuati Flagship that is currently being constructed. To construct and outfit such a massive capital ship is estimated to cost trillions of credits, and some worry that the spending is excessive in light of the current military environment. And that the vessel while impressive will amount to nothing more than a costly vanity project.  These concerns are dismissed however by the Kuat of Kuat citing to the size of the Kuati economy and the government revenue surplus in the tens of quadrillions of credits.

New Upcoming Light Cruiser

We are proud to announce today that a new light cruiser is under development today at Kuat Drive Yards. The Ruusan-class. Named primarily after the Ruusan Reformation and its arms treaty limitations on warships. The Ruusan-class seeks to push the envelop on the popular conception of what is a Light Cruiser. At 480 meters long it falls welll below the Cruiser category listed with the Ruusan Reformation arms treaty limitations but is arguably the largest designed light cruiser designed as of yet.  Armed with a multitude of light to medium turbolasers, ion cannons and six assault concussion missile launchers it is armed to the max limit of what is conceivably allowed for a Light Cruiser. Its fighter bay is similarity maxed out at 36 fighters and assortment of support craft. Onboard there can fit a battalion of soldiers with room for a compliment of armored support vehicles including Kuat's own A4 Juggernaut heavy vehicle. 

The Ruusan's designation as a Light Cruiser also allows it to be outfitted with a fast class 1 hyperdrive and along with its vastly superior speed to ponderous heavy cruisers like the Dreadnought it can run rings around the Rendili design. This fast general purpose warship is Kuat Drive Yards all in one answer to combat piracy across the galaxy while abiding by the letter of Republic Law. 

Admittedly though some of the key support vehicles that the Ruusan-class is configured for, such as shuttles designed to carry heavy to medium armored vehicles, have yet to be developed. Though Kuat Drive Yards assures us plans are being drawn up for such shuttles in the future.

Debt Elimination!

The Kuat of Kuat has found itself in the most fortunate position of a swelling treasury and a relatively stable economy. As such she has decided it is time for the Kuat Sector to rid itself of external debt obligations by allocating 4,070,254,772,021,560 credits towards the payment of external debts. Debt owed by its citizens namely the public debt will be left out of this repayment plan due to the fact citizens actually may benefit from annual debt interest payments. 

Some critics of the plan cite the money could been better used to grow the economy even if its through tax rebates. Arguing the Kuati economy has become stagnant. In response to this the Kuat of Kuat has issued a public response stating economic stimulus programs are in the works and that her government has more than enough money this fiscal year for them.

Survey Ships in Kuat System?

The Kuat of Kuat has commissioned a new survey of the Kuat System in order to determine the potential viability of terraforming other planets within the system. Famously Kuat itself when it was colonized was Terraformed by the Ten Families countless thousands of years ago. This survey will include an analysis of the planets' physical and chemical characteristics, as well as an assessment of the resources necessary to implement the terraforming process. Once the survey is completed, the Kuat of Kuat will then be able to make an informed decision as to whether or not terraforming is a feasible option for the Kuat System.

Kuat Business Loan Program

In an effort to help boost the economy the Kuat of Kuat has authorized the creation of series of low interest loans to companies operating in the Kuat Sector. The Kuat Business Loan program is an initiative to help create and sustain jobs and businesses in the Kuat Sector. The program offers an opportunity for current and aspiring business owners to access the capital they need to grow and expand their businesses, create new jobs, and strengthen the Kuat economy. The loan program will provide a variety of loan products designed to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes, from small start-ups to established enterprises. To access the loans, businesses must meet certain eligibility criteria, including having a viable business proposal, a strong credit history, and adequate collateral. With the help of this loan program, businesses can access the capital they need to grow and create new jobs for the benefit of the Kuat Sector.

From public disclosure reports it seems the Kuat of Kuat has funded the program with roughly five quadrillion credits to issue out financial capital to corporations to help jumpstart the economy.

Porto-class Carrier Cruiser

The Porto-class Carrier Cruiser is a mobile starfighter base designed for use of Sector Defense Forces in system patrols or to protect trade convoys. Equipped with the latest in starship technology, the Porto has the capability to service an entire wing of starfighters. However, while it may have strong hull and formidable deflector shields the Porto is not designed to engage in direct combat itself and relies on its fighter compliment to protect it. In this way, it is meant to serve as a command center for system patrol forces, allowing for a cohesive strategy to be maintained throughout a patrol.

KDY seeks new Suppliers.

Kuat Drive Yards has begun the process of searching for new rawmat suppliers in the Rim, in anticipation of increased demand for shipbuilding materials in the coming year. The company is looking for reliable suppliers who can provide the quality and quantity of rawmat needed to meet the increased demand. 

Several Mining worlds in the Outer Rim have already been contacted by the company in an effort to secure new ore contracts. These efforts are being conducted with the utmost confidentiality and discretion, to ensure that the most profitable arrangements can be negotiated and finalized.  Additionally, Kuat Drive Yards is seeking to strengthen its ties with existing suppliers through these negotiations, in order to ensure full cooperation in meeting the upcoming demand.

Threat of Rim Piracy

 has become a major concern for the Kuati Sector Government. Kuat Drive Yards, one of the most prominent companies in the galaxy, has significant investments and production facilities in the Rimward Regions, which are at risk due to the actions of these pirates. Not only are these pirate attacks a source of danger to Kuati investments, but they also drive up the cost of raw materials, further straining the economy. 

It is why the partnership of Kuat Drive Yards and the Trade Federation has been so important for the past several centuries. The Trade Federation Defense Force was meant to protect KDY investments in the Rim Regions and keep production costs down. The TFD was meant to be able to patrol the rim against further piracy, creating a safer environment for everyone involved. Creating economic stability and prosperity to spur development in the Rim.

 However, reports of the growing threat of piracy in the rim, with many groups organizing into ever-larger forces, casts doubts on the TFD's ability to protect Kuat Drive Yard investments and maintain stability in the region. This has raised serious questions among diplomats and politicians about the effectiveness of their current arrangements. In light of this, it appears that the Kuati Sector Government and the Trade Federation will need to work together in order to strengthen their alliance and protect their mutual interests in the Rim Regions.                    

However some have even suggested the hiring of private mercenary groups to protect KDY interests in the region as a short term solution to the growing crisis. It is a highly controversial proposition, with many opposing it on the grounds of morality and the potential it has for further destabilizing the region. Nevertheless, it is a solution that cannot be ignored, as the situation in the Rim Regions continues to worsen.

Remilitarization?  A response to the Pirate Threat.  

As previously reported the Galactic Republic is facing a growing threat from the rise of piracy, it is clear the Judicial Forces need to be strengthened and better equipped to handle this growing threat.   With the Republic's colossal treasury of over 377 Quadrillion Credits, it seems inevitable that the Judicial Forces will soon be converted into a full-fledged military if not in name but in function. This seems to be the best option for the Republic to protect itself from the rising threat of piracy, as well as other hostile forces.  Kuat Drive Yards fully expects to be inundated with new purchase requests from the Judicial Fleets to build fleets of warships for the Republic's program of remilitarization. Creating countless jobs in a renewed Republic military industrial complex geared towards arming civilization against those who would seek to endanger it. 

However certain guilds, such as the Techno Union, have argued that they should be given the same rights as the Trade Federation Defense Force in patrolling the hyperlanes against piracy. Such a move would mean the privatization of security and has faced stiff resistance from some Senators. This has caused much debate in the Senate, but it is clear that something needs to be done soon in order to protect the Republic from the rising threat of piracy. Some Senators like those from Azure have suggested using the guilds as a intermediate step in securing the hyperlanes. All the while the Judicial Forces expand and re-arm into a de-facto military to better patrol the Rim after the guilds are no longer needed. 

In every suggested solution to the pirate crisis the end result is the same. More warships, more arms, more military expansion.

A new military walker is being developed. Called the All Terrain Personal Transport or AT-PT are designed to take single troopers into intense combat situations on their own, with the firepower of a squad. Standing only three meters tall, it is armed with blaster cannons and a grenade launcher. 

  After evaluating the initial prototypes and conducting tests, Kuat Drive Yards is expecting to produce many thousands of AT-PTs in the next decade as planetary defense forces seek to arm themselves with modern weapons.  The AT-PT is a new and efficient tool for many defense forces in a hostile and ever-changing galaxy.  Its lightweight design and flexible armament make it an ideal asset for any planetary military force.

New Oversight Body created.

The Kuati Board of Inspection and Survey is a governmental body that is charged with the task of ensuring the safety and quality of military hardware produced by Kuat Drive Yards. This is following what is known as the Pride Incident where thousands of crippling defects were found in the Pride of the Core's construction.

initial investigations on why the Pride of the Core was functionally destroyed are still ongoing. But it is clear if engineers and staff onboard performed a simple investigation and survey of the vessel they would have found the vessel unfit for service well before starting its engines causing such a embarrassing incident from occurring. The INSURV body is created to prevent such an incident from happening every again at Kuat Drive Yards by finding such defects in vessels before they leave the shipyards. 

This board is responsible for the inspection of starships, product certification, and the certification of sub-contractors working with KDY. The board is also responsible for the enforcement of industry regulations and standards. The Kuati Board of Inspection and Survey is made up of industry leaders, representatives from the Kuati government, and experts from all relevant fields. This board is dedicated to providing the best possible standards are met in Kuati ship construction. The board meets regularly to review the standards and regulations, and to consider any proposals for changes or additions to the regulations. The board also does regular inspections of Kuati Security Forces naval vessels and takes action when necessary to ensure that they are up to the highest standards.

Salvaging Pride

The Pride of the Core the would be flagship if the Kuati Fleet is now being salvaged for spare parts. Thoroughly disabled after its engines suffered critical  failure and its hull compromised by what KDY is now reporting to be industrial sabotage it has been dedicated the Pride is not worth repairing. Instead what remains of the Pride of the Core is being used in the construction of a new Mandator-class Star Dreadnought, one that is not tainted by the tragedy of the past.   

In addition to this KDY has disclosed the initial findings of the investigation behind the Pride of the Core incident. It has been discovered numerous temporary managers hired by KDY were in fact industrial saboteurs who deliberately mismanaged the construction of the Pride and built in construction defects to humiliate KDY. Large billion credit bounties have been issued for the arrest for these individuals and any information leading to their capture. As a result of this sabotage KDY is spending a great deal of capital in its workforce, both in the vetting process and to lessen the reliance on temporary workers in general.

In a recent development, the Kuati Security Forces have initiated patrols throughout the Kuati Sector, bolstering safety measures for the region. This initiative is marked by a substantial increase in the number of starships employed by the patrolling forces, featuring dozens of new light cruisers added to the fleet. Also in response to the recent attempted sabotage, tens of thousands of new security force personnel have been strategically deployed to the Orbital Ring Array around Kuat and various essential Kuat Drive Yard production facilities. We have received word from Kuati authorities they in response to new security threats in the Rim intend to form a new branch of the Kuati Security Forces. The Kuati Royal Marines. The formation of the Kuati Royal Marines marks a significant development in the strategic landscape of the Sector. Drawing inspiration from the ancient legions of Republic Troopers, the new unit aims to bolster the effectiveness and resilience of Kuat's defense capabilities. This modern iteration of a time-tested force will employ advanced weaponry and technological systems to tackle contemporary challenges. By reviving the military traditions of the ancient Republic, Kuat seeks to establish a formidable presence, securing its interests and fostering stability in the sector.

To support this endeavor, the Kuati Royal Arsenal will be established as a subsidiary of the renowned Kuat Drive Yards. Tasked with managing the design and production of advanced plastoid armor, cutting-edge blaster carbines, and critical ordnance for the Marines, the Kuati Royal Arsenal will play a pivotal role in equipping the new force for the challenges ahead. Creation of the Kuati-Bilbringi Mining Company

After successful negotiations with the Bilbringi government, Kuat Drive Yards has managed to acquire all mining operations in the Bilbringi System. In a strategic move to maintain a strong local presence and foster a fruitful partnership, the Bilbringi government has been granted a 40% shareholder stake in a newly-formed mining company. As a result, the Kuati-Bilbringi Mining Company was brought into existence. House  Knylenn's heir  accused of Treason?!

Recently today word has spread by reports in the holonet that Khoss Knylenn the heir of House Kynlenn, one of the Ten is implicated in the multiple attempted sabotages of Kuat Drive Yards facilities. An act if proven true would not only be an attack on the Kuati Family but an attack on all other members of the Ten Noble Families of Kuat. As Kuat Drive Yards is owned by all the other noble families of Kuat including House Kynlenn. The inheritance Exemption was passed ages ago to resolve disputes of management of KDY operations entrusting it to the care of the Kuat Family. But it seems if reports are to be believed House Kylenn's heir attempted to engage in such a dispute by arranging these incidents to damage the reputation of the Kuat family and its management of Kuat Drive Yards. 

For Khoss Kynlenn's part he has denied all involvement calling the charges unfounded and outrageous.  This entire situation we at the Kuati Broadcasting service must agree is outrageous whether it be unfounded or not. As a Kuati scandal of this proportion has not occurred for many centuries. The only one remotely like it was the Kuati Secession Crisis in 689 where Ursula Kuat was murdered before siring an heir. 

The Kuat of Kuat, Olenna Kuat has called for calm and that a fair impartial investigation will be conducted regarding the charges.

Kuat Drive Yards after establishing mining operations in the Bilbringi System with its subsidiary and is now constructing shipyards in the system. Is this thing on? Good. 

As you all know, I am Olenna Kuat, Kuat of Kuat, and Head of House Kuat. I have been dragged away from other important matters of state, to answer the false and fantastic accusations of a spoilt, impudent boy. A boy whose ambition dangerously exceeds his capabilities. One normally would not indulge such destructive tantrums, but due to the support of some opportunistic houses, and the unfortunately-timed death of his honored father, we must all indulge his wild lies, if only to ensure justice is done in a transparent manner .

Yes Khoss I am talking about you. 

Lies and fabrications are all he has spewed forth, like the effluent that streams from the posterior of a sickly nerf. The documents linking my house to the Hutts? Forgeries.  Easily disproved. The quote 'illegal' weapons stockpile? Do not exist, and what he does cite are legally held civilian grade explosives. Accusations built upon foundations of forgeries and outright fantastical fabrications. 

He lacks even the artistic merit to make his lies convincing, as demonstrated by reports of Kuat House crests on the bombs.

*Sigh.* What fool of an assassin would put their own name upon their bombs? Only one brain-addled enough to believe this nonsense, or cynical enough to promote it for their own political ends. And who would remove all identifying information, only to leave those same famous crests in place? Those same cartoonish and foolish conspirators. By the force said crests even survived the explosion.

I may have been called many things in my time as Kuat of Kuat, but stupid was never once uttered.

Khoss Kynlenn is either a fool or thinks you all are fools to believe I was responsible for the bombing, likely both. But we know better. 

But who did the bombings then? Good question. I think we all want to know that question, and thankfully the independent Republic Judiciary is already investigating, namely the ties little Khoss and his house have in the bombings earlier this year and the sabotage of Kuat Drive Yards operations. Bombings which cost Kuat lives and reputation!

I would hope Khoss and his allies cooperate with the Jedi investigators, just as I am. But I don't think Khoss wants the truth to get out. The truth behind the bombing of his family estate which made him Head of his House. Right before I could talk with his late father about him being a very naughty boy, Yes he also lied about that too. I never sent him an invitation. I sent his father the invite weeks before his untimely death. Such a meeting would have likely resulted his disinheritance for his involvement in crimes against all Kuati. Yet most convenient for Khoss his family estate blew up and supposedly his father died it in and all the more fortunate for him to find weapons with my families crest painted haphazardly on them.

So in one fell swoop he both inherited his father's position, prevented his disinheritance and got ammunition literally to use against me politically. To distract the public from news of his own links to sabotaging Kuat Drive Yards facilities. Its almost as if destiny arranged such things to go the way they did to solely benefit Khoss. But we Kuati are more pragmatic than to believe in such stuff. That destiny is a bunch of fairy tale nonsense for children. 

So dearies let's call him out on his hogwash. Shall we? Let's settle this correctly in the courts like the civil people he and his ilk pretend to be. I have called for a Trial of the Ten to be convened once the Jedi have finished a thorough and impartial investigation against both House Kuat and House Kynlenn. We shall both get a fair trial judged by a jury of our peers. Namely the Ten Families. 

Justice takes time, but when it arrives, it arrives in a righteous fury. Should the intentions of House Kynlenn and "allies' ' be pure and noble, then they will grant the law this time. They will cooperate with investigators. They shall accept the will of the Ten as required by law and tradition. If not, Khoss Kynlenn will reveal himself to be devoid of noble intentions. He will prove himself and to everyone else he is nothing but a usurping snake of a man.

New B1 Battle Droids seen deployed in Kuati Sector

We at the Kuati Broadcasting Service are pleased to tell our viewers today that the Kuati Security Forces have made concerted efforts to protect all Kuati from saboteurs and hostile actors. As some of our viewers may have noticed already there has been an increased presence of Kuati Security personnel at government buildings across Kuat. The KSF has stated publicly that these and other forces have been deployed to protect critical governing Infrastructure across the Kuati Sector. This is in light of multiple bombings and acts of sabotage that has been subject of political controversy. This move is to ensure proper continuation of government services will be maintained despite fears of violent actors and saboteurs desires to disrupt them.

We here at the KBS must remind all Kuati that it is your civic duty to report all suspicious and illegal activity to the Kuati Security Forces. So they may have protect us all from those who would wish us harm.

Auditor-General Office strengthened! 

In an effort to tackle corruption and associated bribery, the Kuat of Kuat has announced its plan to allocate funds for the expansion and increased authority of the Office of Auditor-General within the Kuati Sector Government. This move is poised to go a long way in improving transparency and accountability in government institutions by giving the Auditor-General Office more power and resources to carry out its functions. The strengthened Auditor-General Office will also help to ensure that government officials adhere strictly to financial and procurement regulations, leading to fairer and more equitable allocation of resources. This move is a positive step towards enhancing the integrity and reputation of the Kuati government.

It is worth noting that Kuat Drive Yards and its subsidies are technically considered parts of the Kuati Government. And it being the largest employer in the Kuati Sector the influence of the Auditor-General to tackle corruption in the Sector is significant.

Military Industrial Complex Grows

With the increasing demand for military vehicles and starships, the Kuati Sector is seeing a rise in the construction of factories that produce new military components. Kuat Drive Yards invests in the civilian shipbuilding market?

Kuat Drive Yards has recently announced its plans to invest significantly in the civilian shipbuilding market, expanding its production capabilities to meet the growing demand for civilian ships and fostering new partnerships within the sector. The company aims to diversify its portfolio by providing a wide range of vessels, from personal transports to luxury liners, while maintaining its strong presence within the military shipbuilding industry.

Quadrillions of credits are being poured into these investments hoping to spur completive growth for KDY in the civilian market. It is likely the Kuat of Kuat sees this as an opportunity as more and more shipyards are shifting focus to the military market. Funds and resources other shipyards normally have devoted to increasing civilian sales are now being used to make warships increasing demand for civilian hulls.

Fellow Kuati. I am Margaery Kuat, Of House Kuat, and granddaughter of Olenna Kuat, the Kuat of Kuat. 

My grandmother Olenna Kuat is dead as are a great many of other Kuati who were onboard the Mandator when it was attacked and destroyed. Destroyed by those who will not accept responsibility for their actions, Destroyed by those who wish every Kuati harm. Those who wish for us to descend into anarchy and destroy all that the Ten Families have built since the founding of the Galactic Republic. Those that wish to steal everything we have built and claim it for themselves. Those who wish us all to be ruined to live in the dark and beg for scraps. 

As my late grandmother’s heir I inherit leadership of our House following her tragic end and per the Inheritance Exception which remains in effect the position of Kuat of Kuat. The leader of not only my house but all of Kuati. 

I ask all Kuati to remain calm and united as we begin our journey to bring the recent unrest to a close. To remember why centuries past our forefathers built a society where all Kuati could be proud of. We knew that together we could create a paradise, not one of idyllic pleasures but of hard work and ingenuity. To create the greatest world of industry without ecological compromise. Centuries later our forefathers founded civilization by being a founding member of the Galactic Republic. We have long set aside violence in our homeworld in favor of the law and custom. The Inheritance Exemption was passed not only because the Ten Families trusted House Kuat but because it was better than the alternative of risking a civil war each time a new Kuat of Kuat was selected. 

It is only recently that has changed. We have not accomplished so much to simply throw it away by allowing ourselves to be divided. For us to rob ourselves of the promise of our glorious future, by turning our shared dream into a nightmare of our own making. 

For a nightmare is all that awaits us If we seek to use violence to settle our differences between ourselves. Or allow foreigners to encourage us to do so. There is no profit to violence waged at home, with kin fighting kin, brother fighting brother. We know that from history, from all civil wars waged across time. 

To avoid this I call upon the leaders of all Ten Great Houses of Kuat. To send your representatives to a great conference for us to settle our differences in a civil manner before more blood is shed on our homeworld. This conference will determine new ways to govern the Kuati people in a way that best serves our interest and all Kuati peoples. I will not forsake House Kuat’s right to rule but no ruler rules alone. There is room for all parties to speak and to be heard. For all houses to take part in the future of our people. 

 Again I call upon the leaders of all ten great houses to bring their representatives to this conference to avoid the ruination of civil war. A sincere plea to avoid further bloodshed and the loss of life. If ignored I will consider all those who refuse this plea traitors and warmongers who wish to seek our homeworld laid to ruin, our citizens butchered in the streets and our houses burned to ash. An enemy all Kuati should resist with all of their strength. An enemy all Kuati regardless of their house affiliations should rightly condemn.
