QUARANTINE IN EFFECT Month 8, Day 6 Following the terrible events that have transpired on Coruscant, the Techno Union Executive Leadership has ordered a quarantine of Techno Union sectors in order to protect the wellbeing of all workers and their families within the borders of Techno Union space. According to the notice given to ETEC, the Techno Union will not be accepting any refugee's from Coruscant or elsewhere. Refugee vessels are warned to stay away, and if they arrive they will be met with enforcement vessels of the Asset Protection and Recovery Division. Additionally the Executive Leadership has asked us to inform all that Techno Union freighters will continue to operate as normal: however they will be accompanied by armed security droids of the APRD: any attempt to board these freighters illegally will result in deadly force being used. All Techno Union citizens are reminded to comply with duly appointed authorities, and to limit time at Spaceports or other areas offworlders may be present.

"The news coming out from Coruscant and Devaron is concerning and disturbing, and I am here to assure all of the Techno Union's hard working employees, their families, and their associated support services that the Techno Union is here to stand by you. You are not alone in the galaxy, for you work for the greatest Galactic corporate alliance the galaxy has seen: and we take care of our own." Recently the Supreme Chancellor announced what some are describing as a galactic-wide "lockdown". Wat Tambor assured the sentiments in TU space that this "lockdown" is necessary and "will be effective in combating this new cancer from spreading across the galaxy." The Director called upon all in TU space to follow the instructions of duly appointed authorities, and assured everyone that their jobs are safe. "In this time of crisis, the vital services you provide to the Republic on a daily basis: from processing to production to distribution to final delivery are essential services that will continue to operate as normal." He did, however, confirm that the Techno Union would be taking measures to continue to ensure the safety of TU space. Until the crisis is over it has been asked that no non-essential travel be taken into Techno Union space, and Coruscanti and Deveroni travel be halted completed. "We will continue to provide necessary supplies, parts, and the like to both of those worlds, but we will be ensuring quarantine and decontamination procedures for personnel coming back from those zones." This come as news broke of another Asset Protection and Recovery Division operation in coordination with the Grand Army of the Republic to assist in containing and eliminating the new cancers that have been identified. Skan Agh, Director of Asset Protection and Recovery, has told NTEC that the deployment of security droids has been done at the express request of the Grand Army of the Republic, and is being done "In a sssuporting role that will enssssure that the GAR cordone isss able to be maintained in a humane, compassssionate, but sssstrict manner." Security for the Republic & Baktoids Role Month 4, Day 29, 49 BBY Foreman Wat Tambor, alongside his advisors, has ordered that the Techno Union begin a large-scale support program for the economies of lesser-known and lesser-developed systems within the Techno Union. In one example a large portion of the investment has come to Mustafar: where the Techno Union has begun construction on over fifteen new factory complexes and thirty mining complexes. Wat Tambor told NTEC that the “native peoples of Mustafar are now seeing higher growth in jobs and individual wealth than ever seen before” and that their membership in the Republic and the Techno Union ensures their “continued growth and development”. A NTEC reporter asked if the development was to include additional security investments. A spokesbeing for Wat Tambor informed us that the investments did include a significant increase in security infrastructure and that “new foundries for security droids now being used across many Sectors in the Republic are being constructed.” According to TU Financial and Planning Reports, the security droids designed by Baktoid now make up more than 70% of TU contractual orders from Republic members, and that there is a need: backed up by the concerning return of the Sith and the militarization of Hutt space. That need is “being filled on a million upon million unit basis” by Baktoid. Baktoid is quickly growing to become one of the major industrial powerhouses of the Republic. Its dedication to quality products and its ability to supply Sector Defense Forces as well as the Grand Army of the Republic leave it in a unique position to continue to grow and continue to be able to support the security, stability, and prosperity of the Republic as a whole.

Those who believed the bleating claims of "Techno Union treachery" being spread across the holowaves by the Kuati Family attempted to censure the Techno Union for doing exactly what it was asked to do: provide security for the people of Kuat. Luckily, the much more reasonable minds of those senators who's governments were not drawn into the "great mascarade" of lies coming from the heads of the Kuati family. And, in due course, it was shown that the Techno Union's APRD's deployment was, indeed, both justified and right in its mission of humanitarianism. And this brings us to today: thousands of well programed Security Droids stand vigilant, unlike the badly controlled and under maintained Kuati security droids which unfortunately malfunctioned aboard the late Kuati flagship. Without firing a shot, the simple presence of competent security has saved millions of lives in what could of been a blood bath of the Kuati Family's coup d'etat of their own coalition government. Foreman Wat Tambor has assured the people of Kuat, as well as the Coalition of the rightful leaders of the system: aligned around the Khoss family, that the Techno Union will continue to maintain peace, security, and stability for as long as they are required and as long as the Coalition wishes them to remain.

AP&R Moves to Escort Techno Union Shipping Month 2, Day 20, 50bby Director Skan Agh, of the Asset Protection and Recovery Division, has announced that his Division will be taking on a new task following the delivery of new AP&R vessels: Directly escorting Techno Union convoys through the hyperlanes. Director Agh made very clear that this move was to “ensssure the protection of Techno Union-flagged and Techno Union-associated vessssselsss. Unfortunately the Sssssenate has not passssed the proposssed bill to authorize my employeesss to ensure the sssafety of all asssets along these routesss...” Shipping under the direct management of Techno Union corporations is now being instructed to operate in convoys, so that the Asset Protection and Recovery Division is better able to do its job of protecting, so it won't have to do any recovering. Only “Self-Defense-equipped” merchants are being authorized for independent travel if they belong to one of these corporations: and then only on a case-by-case basis where a high level manager is ensuring the gains would outweigh the risks.

Ep 1: Moda Lester: A Humanitarian and Industry-Man During his time on Toydaria, and following his first foray into the Techno Union, Director Lester has always been a "humanitarian", as it is called. During his early days with the Techno Union, Moda Lester traveled to Mustafar: where he served as the Manager of Industrial Production for the planet. During this he pushed for increased working hours, ensuring the Mustafarian's received their well-earned additional wages. Following this he moved to open a foundry on Tabor, where he worked diligently to ensure production exceeded 189% in the first month, and keeping production numbers above 144% for the first six month of the foundry being open. **Filler** It was at this time that he first got the notice of the Foreman, Wat Tambor. After being summoned to an Executive Council Meeting as a "special guest" productivity again increased to 184%. It was at this time that Moda Lester was moved to the Marketing and Communications Department, and he began to interact daily with the customers of he Techno Union's "Galactic Star" member guests. These interactions proved his abilities in sales and he became the Grand Manager of Sales for the organization. He spend over six years in this role before moving further in the department.

The droid is forged from the finest of materials in its various components throughout the foundry before being assembled into a complete unit on the production line behind me. A Techno Toydarian Foreman Wat Tambor met with the Techno Union's newest member of Executive leadership, who has been hired as the Guilds new “Director of Marketing and Communication”. The Director is unique as he is the first Toydarian to reach an Executive rank in the Techno Union, and possibly in any of the major Republic Guilds. The well dressed Executive flittered gracefully among his peers at the welcoming ceremony: enjoying cocktails made with the best Kuati and Corellian liquors. But not two weeks after the celebration, the Foreman has given his new Director a series of tasks and Director Moda Lester has boarded one of the Techno Unions vast cargo vessels, accompanied by a convoy of others, to take to the stars and bring yet more prosperity to the inhabitants of the worlds which make up the great Republic Guild. NTEC is in the process of filming a new documentary that will follow the rise of this unique new Director within the Techno Union's hierarchy: “From Toydaria to the Stars, the Moda Lester Story”, which will be released in six episodes. Baktoid: Have a Safe Trip Baktoid Combat Automata has announced that its research and development team is working on a new project as part of their new “Safe and Secure” Initiative in the face of ever increasing piracy threats along major trade routes. We spoke with one of the Executives of the firm who stated that “we have seen a need, and are uniquely positioned to provide a solution. The new security droid program we have developed will ensure widespread access to affordable, highly effective, and easily transportable security droids. They will be able to be transported in a freighter or passenger liner: out of site and out of mind, unless they are needed. At such a time they can be activated in a matter of moments and be deployed against any threat: whether pirates are boarding the vessel or if there is an internal problem that requires security involvement.” The new droids, the designation not being released yet, are expected to enter the market in a timely manner, and Baktoid Industries is already taking per-orders. It is expected that they will be able to cut costs for having to hire expensive security firms to protect freighter shipments, and will provide a far less invasive security solution for passenger vessels. Hello all! Its good to be back. I am Bobithy, also known in some circles as "the gay agenda." Ive been playing Nation Sim, Political Sim, and similar games since 2008. SWD has been a guilty pleasure of mine since finding out about it many years ago. While I have come and gone over the years I am very happy to see many familiar faces along with many new ones. This new formatting looks fantastic and look forward to returning as a regular. In the Real World I live in California and am currently a Site Administrator for a Non-Congregate Homeless Shelter: a (welcome) change of pace from my previous five years working in EMS.
